A: Pulsoid supports a variety of heart rate monitoring devices. The top choice is a standalone chest belt heart rate monitor, known for its accuracy, comfort, and reliability. Many heart rate monitors suitable for streaming are also quite affordable. Our top choices are Polar H10 and CooSpo H808S.
Another compatible device type with Pulsoid is watches or smart devices that can install the Pulsoid native app on the watch. Among the supported devices are Apple Watches and Wear OS watches, including Samsung Galaxy, TicWatch, Pixel Watch, etc., some compatible Fitbit devices .
Pulsoid enables you to display your heart rate on your screen while streaming, gaming, participating in esports, or even when using VRChat, all within a minute. Check this page for a full and up-to-date list of supported devices.
Q: How much does it cost to use Pulsoid?

Compatible heart rate monitors

Q: What is the best heart rate monitor for streaming?
The top choice for live heart rate tracking is the Polar H10. If you are looking for an entry-level device to test whether your community appreciates this new feature, you can opt for a more affordable heart rate tracker, such as the CooSpo H808S.
Q: Can I use my smartwatch or fitness trackers?
A: Not all smart devices with heart rate tracking are compatible with Pulsoid, as many do not broadcast heart rate data to third-party apps, and therefore Pulsoid cannot read it.
However, Pulsoid does have native apps for Apple Watch devices and Wear OS watches, which include Samsung Watch 4, 5, 6, Mobvoi TicWatch, Fossil, Pixel watches, and more. It is also compatible with certain Fitbit devices, such as the Ionic, Versa, Versa Lite, Versa 2, Sense, and Versa 3.
Other smart devices like Mi Bands, Halo, and some Garmin and Huawei devices may have a heart rate broadcasting mode. Check the Alternatives section on the devices page to find out if your device can be used with Pulsoid.

Q: How can I send my heart rate in VRChat with OSC?
A: You can display your live heart rate (BPM) on your VRChat avatar or in the chatbox using Pulsoid. There are two main ways to send your heart rate to VRChat:
  1. Pulsoid OSC: Connect a compatible heart rate monitor to the Pulsoid Desktop App and turn on Pulsoid OSC to send your BPM to VRChat directly. Pulsoid OSC is included in the BRO Plan and provides the simplest setup because you don't need a separate OSC tool running in the background. Check out our Pulsoid Desktop OSC setup guide for step-by-step instructions.
  2. Pulsoid integration with third-party OSC tools: Connect your heart rate monitor to the Pulsoid Desktop App or Pulsoid Mobile App (iOS / Android), then use a compatible third-party OSC tool like VRCOSC, hr-osc, HRtoVRChat_OSC, MagicChatBox, TTS Voice Wizard, or VRC STT. For detailed instructions on how to connect each of these OSC tools to Pulsoid, check out our guide on top tools to show your heart rate in VRChat.

Once your heart rate appears in the Pulsoid Desktop App, turn on Pulsoid OSC to send it to VRChat.

Q: 👥 How to add two or more heart rate widgets in OBS?
A: If you're streaming with friends, you can easily add multiple BPM widgets for different people on your stream. However, each person must use Pulsoid independently and share their widget links. Remember to share these links privately, and if a link is leaked, you should delete the widget from your account. Note that every individual needs their own supported heart rate sensor, a Pulsoid mobile app, and a Pulsoid account.
Q: 🖥️ Can I see my heart rate on screen while gaming, even if I don't stream?
A: Yes, you can. We offer a Pulsoid app on the Overwolf platform, which allows you to easily track your heart rate on-screen during gaming sessions. Get the Pulsoid Overflow app.
